 FAQ

How do I change my password?
You can change your password either by clicking on the [Update Your Profile] link on the home page or by navigating to Admin » Management Admin » User Admin.  There you can make any changes to your profile, including Username and Password.  A valid password must contain at least twelve characters and have at least one number (not at the beginning or end). The password cannot contain your username or email address.

How do I add a follow-on to a case from another center?
Navigate to Data Entry » Cases » Add Follow On.  At the bottom of the list of cases is a checkbox labeled “Select case from another center”.  Checking this box will allow you to enter the other center’s case number.  Click the Select Case button and you can then enter the follow-on as you would normally.

How do I find information on my colleagues around the state?

You have two options.  First, you can go to Reports » Rosters » Staff Roster and click on the name of the person you are looking for to see their profile details.  This list is sortable by center and last name.

Second, you can go to Reports » Employee » Employee Lookup.  There you can select the person you are looking for from the dropdown list at the top of the form and click Go.  That will display that person’s profile details.

You can also use the Center, Specialty or Title criteria to filter a list of people.  Click Search to generate a list of people based upon the selected criteria.  In the list, you can click on a person’s name to see their profile details.

How do I delete a duplicate case?

There is no function in WebMQS to delete a case.  If you are sure that you have a duplicate case, email the case number to Al Scher at Central.  He will delete the case for you.

How do I remove a duplicate follow-on?

In order to remove a follow-on, you need to remove the hours and narrative for that session.  Go to the Edit Case function and click on the Narrative/Hours/Impact tab.
Click the Edit link on the duplicate narrative.  The narrative is now editable.  Clear all text from the narrative, remove any Keywords (ctrl+click unselects a keyword) and click the Update link.  Updating an empty narrative will delete it.
Next, scroll down to the Counselor Hours section and click the Edit button for the duplicate Hours record.  Set the dropdown list so there is no Counselor selected.  Clicking the Update for that row will now delete it.  This also applies to any Outside Resource Hours.

How do I delete duplicate impact?

In Edit Case, click on the Narrative/Hours/Impact tab.  Scroll down to the list of impact records.  Click on the Edit button for the row you want to remove.  Set the Funding Source to No Funding (the first item in the dropdown list) and set the funding amount and jobs boxes with a zero.
Click the Update button for that row, and it will be removed from the case.  This is an Inline edit, so you do not need to click the Update button at the top or bottom of the form to effect this change.

Do I have to use Internet Explorer?

No.  The site has been tested using Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.  There have been no problems reported related to choice of browser.

Is there a spell checker?

While there is no spell checker in WebMQS, the site does “play nice” with third-party spell checkers.  If you are using Internet Explorer, there is an add-on called “IE Spell” that is frequently used.  There is also an excellent spell checker in the Google Toolbar.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, they both have built-in spell checkers.
